Passports

Passports applications are being accepted at the Morrow County Clerk's Office. 

From U.S. Department of State Passport Services:

  • Routine Service: up to 6- 8 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application.
  • Expedited Service: up to 2-3 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application.
    Expedited service costs and additional $60 and should be included with the passport fees at the time of application.
     
  • For Seattle Passport Agency Are you eligible? 

    To apply at this passport agency, you must meet all of the following requirements:

    Make an appointment online or by calling us at 1-877-487-2778. You cannot walk-in. We do not charge a fee to make appointments.
    Be traveling internationally within 72 hours (3 business days)
    Be able to show printed proof of international travel (such as your flight itinerary, hotel reservation, cruise tickets, or international car insurance)
    Pay the $60 expedite fee in addition to the regular application fees.
    Note: you can schedule your appointment up to 2 weeks before your international travel but the date of your appointment must be within 3 business days of your international travel. If you need a foreign visa, the date of your appointment must be within 10 business days of your international travel.

Passport Forms

To Apply for a U.S. Passport for the first time or to renew a passport by mail forms are available at the US Department of State website or at this office.  Forms should be filled out carefully, completing all required information before coming in (DO NOT SIGN).  Execution of a passport application at this office takes about 15 minutes if you have completed the form, and have required copies. (Please do not print both side to one sheet of paper) 

Families or groups should arrive early enough to complete everyone's application, no later than
4:00 pm

Costs & Forms of Payment

The cost of obtaining passports is the same regardless of where you apply.  See passport fees at the U.S. Department of State website.  Passport photos can be taken in this office for $14.00.

 

Be sure to bring your checkbook.  One check must be written for each passport application, and one for any execution fees and photos. Execution fee and Photos may be paid for in cash.  Personal checks, money orders, bank drafts, or cashier's checks drawn on a US bank are acceptable forms of payment for each application.  Cash, credit cards, debit cards and temporary checks are not acceptable forms of payment to the U.S. Department of State. 

What to submit with the application when applying for a passport

1. PROOF OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP

  • Evidence of U.S. citizenship AND a photocopy of the front (and back, if there is printed information) must be submitted with your application.  The photocopy must be on 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch paper, black and white ink, legible, and clear.  Evidence that is not damaged, altered, or forged will be returned to you.

Note: Lawful permanent resident cards submitted with this application will be forwarded to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, if we determine that you are a U.S. citizen.

2. PROOF OF IDENTITY: 

  • You must present your original identification AND submit a photocopy of the front and back with your passport application. 

3. Recent Color Photograph: 

  • Photograph must meet passport requirements - full front view of the face and 2 X 2 inches in size.

A completed, but unsigned passport application, certified birth certificate, and current driver's license will be enough for many applications.  Oregon IDs, Provisional Licenses and out of state drivers' licenses will need additional identification.  Additional documentation will always be needed for children, or citizens born outside of the United States.
Children under 16: How to Apply for your Child's Passport?

All children under age 16 must apply for a passport in person with two parents or guardians using Form DS-11 .You cannot renew your child's passport.  Passports for children under age 16 are only valid for 5 years.
