Reserve Deputy
Morrow County Reserve Deputies supplement full time deputies, often riding in the car with them as a second unit. Reserve deputies provide patrols during community celebrations such as the Morrow County Fair and Rodeo, Ione’s Fourth of July Celebration and the Irrigon Watermelon Festival. The reserves volunteer their time to complete these patrols.
The reserve program provides reserve deputies with the opportunity to learn about police work. It also gives the Sheriff’s Office the chance to evaluate the reserves. Many former reserve deputies are now full time employees with the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office.
