Small Claims

A Small Claims case is an informal lawsuit, in which lawyers are not allowed to be involved and the normal legal rules for lawsuits are relaxed.  The plaintiff must have made a bona fide effort to collect the debt before filing the claim.  The claim must be under $10,000 in an Oregon Justice Court.  To start the Small Claims process, in the Justice Court, forms must be complete before submitting.  You may come into our Court to obtain the forms or print them off from the attachment below.

Court filing fees are 37.00.  Civil fees are in the attachment below.
