Kayak Public Transit
The Kayak fixed-route line; The Hopper comes into Irrigon twice a day at the
HWY 730 & S 1st St Bus Shelter.

The Monday thru Friday Times: 10:00 am & 2:33 pm
The Saturday Times: 10:13 am & 5:13 pm

Kayak Public Transit provides community and economic support by managing a rural regional transportation system reaching into southeastern Washington and northeastern Oregon. We currently operate 3 fixed routes with the HART, Tripper, and Metro and 4 commuter bus services with the Arrow, Rocket, Hopper, and Whistler. Our transit program is funded through a combination of Federal grants, State grants, and CTUIR general funds. All bus services are currently free to the general public.

CareVan Medical Transportation

Reservations can be made by calling 541.667.3888. Calls should be made with as much advanced notice as possible as time slots are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Care Van is a two van program and strives to accommodate requests; however, there may be occasions when the patient's times cannot be accommodated.

The CareVan travels to Hermiston, Echo, Stanfield, Umatilla, Irrigon, and Boardman. This encompasses the entire Good Shepherd service area.

It is an Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), compliant service provider. Rides are provided to community members to any Good Shepherd Health Care System affiliated medical or service provider with offices in Hermiston.

Rides operate from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm

Monday through Friday.
